My favourite school subject is biology because I love learning about animals and plants. Last month we had a lesson where we looked at insects under a microscope. Hi Chloe, Last Saturday my grandparents celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary! We had a party in a small restaurant by the lake. More than thirty relatives came and my uncle played the guitar while everybody was singing. I gave them a big frame with old family photos, because they always say that family is the most important thing in their lives. Hi Olivia, Guess what! Last Sunday I cooked lunch for my whole family. It was my mum's birthday and I wanted to give her a day off from the kitchen. I made tomato soup and chicken with rice. I found the recipes in an old cookbook that belonged to my grandma. Unfortunately, I forgot about the rice and it burnt a little, so the kitchen smelt terrible! Hi Ben, I've had a real problem with some online shopping! I chose a dark blue hoodie with the logo of my favourite basketball team, because all my friends from the team wanted to wear the same one. When the parcel finally arrived, the hoodie was bright pink and two sizes too small. What's more, there was a hole in one of the sleeves. I took photos of it and sent them to the shop with an email. Hi Harry, Sorry I haven't written for so long – I've got a broken arm! It happened during my winter holiday in the mountains. I was skiing down a steep slope when a little boy suddenly stopped in front of me. I tried to avoid him, fell over and hit a tree. Now my twin brother helps me a lot. He carries my school bag and ties my shoelaces every morning. My best friend brings me notes from the lessons I missed. I have just finished my first week without my phone. I decided to try it because I noticed I was checking messages every ten minutes, even during lessons. Instead of scrolling, I read two books, went cycling with my dad and finally learned three new songs on the guitar. Hi Harry, Something unusual happened to me last week! I was walking my dog in the park after school when I noticed a small bird under a bench. It couldn't fly because one of its wings was hurt. I put it carefully into a shoebox and phoned my aunt, who is a vet. She told me how to keep the bird warm and later she checked its wing in her clinic. Hi Jack, Yesterday I went to my first real concert! I went with my older sister and her best friend. The concert took place in a huge stadium in Warsaw and there were about forty thousand people there! The best moment came at the end. The singer asked who had come from the smallest town and my sister shouted the name of our village. Then the band played a song especially for us! I've just finished watching something brilliant! It's a film called Wonder. It's about Auggie, a ten-year-old boy whose face looks different from other people's faces. He goes to a normal school for the first time and has to deal with some unkind classmates. What I liked most was Auggie's friendship with Jack and the way his sister Via supports him. Some scenes made me laugh and others made me cry. I would recommend this film to everyone over ten, because it teaches you to be kind to others. It's also a great film to watch with your family.

Hi Lucy, I had my first sleepover last weekend! I invited three friends from my class, Ania, Zuza and Hania, because we wanted to celebrate the end of the school year. In the evening we made pizza together and then we watched a scary film in the living room. We slept on the floor in sleeping bags, but we talked until two o'clock in the morning! Hi Emily, There's a new boy in my class and I want to tell you about him. His name is Diego and he comes from Spain. He's tall, he has got curly black hair and he's really good at football. Unfortunately, he doesn't speak Polish yet, so lessons are very difficult for him. He also misses his friends from Madrid. We try to help him as much as we can. Last Saturday our class went on a bike trip, and I want to tell you all about it! We cycled to a forest about ten kilometres from school, and the whole trip took around four hours, including a break for a picnic. My favourite part was riding along the river, because the views were beautiful and the path was flat and easy. I would definitely recommend this trip to other classes, because it was fun and not too tiring. It's also a great way to spend time together outside the classroom.

I want to recommend an app called QuickWords, which helps you learn new English vocabulary through short daily quizzes. It's really useful because it only takes five minutes a day, and it remembers which words you find difficult, so you practise them more often. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their English but doesn't have much free time, like me! My younger brother uses it on the bus to school and his marks in English are better now.
